The NC Delta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi was founded on NC State’s campus in 2005. The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women is to promote friendship, develop women of intellect and integrity, cultivate leadership potential and enrich lives through community service.
Pi Beta Phi was founded on April 28, 1867 at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. Our 12 founders were dedicated to creating a values-based organization in which individual development is a key component of the mission and vision of the organization. Pi Beta Phi was the first national secret college society of women to be modeled after the Greek-letter fraternities of men and paved the way for future women to not only attend college, but find a strong sisterhood. Pi Beta Phi attracts women who possess a desire to be a part of a dynamic organization that will promote growth in all areas of life. A dedication to core values is at the heart of the organization. Pi Beta Phi offers its members the opportunity to be part of an organization where members care for one another, shelter each other and share the bonds of sisterhood.
The members of our chapter are a diverse group of women who each bring something special to our organization. Pi Phi values a commitment to service, as well as personal and intellectual growth. The women of the NC Delta chapter desire to be part of a dynamic organization that will promote growth in all areas of life, during and after college. Our sisterhood is strengthened through our involvement in sisterhood events, socials, athletics, and philanthropy. Pi Beta Phi is not just four years, but for life.
